About Me

By profession, I am a specialist in internet technical architecture and web design.
I have twenty years experience in the design of complex software systems, and was a
significant player in the early artificial intelligence scene in the UK in the mid 1980's.
I have enjoyed a successful career as an independent consultant, have founded several startup companies in
the A.I. sector, have been a senior consultant with PwC and founded a leading recruitment website which was
successfully sold to the Financial Times in 2007.
My current technical expertise is focussed on leading edge internet enabling technologies: ASP.NET, Java, SQL Server etc.
My earlier expertise centres around formal logic programming (prolog), virtual machine and compiler design,
object oriented analysis and design. My current research interests relate to the application of results in genetics
and complexity theory to software design and architecture.
I have a First Class degree in Electronic Engineering (Leeds) and a Diploma in Philosophy from the
University of Oxford.
